What material donations do we need?

If you wish to do a material donation please check out the following list of resources we need most:

  • Music
     Guitars, Drums, Bongo drums, Flute, Trumpet,
    Stereo etc.

  • General House Needs
    Smoke Detectors, New/used bed sheets, New/used towels, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Used bicycle,
    Single bed mattresses, Toilet paper, Garbage container with cover, Pillows, Trays, Single bed spreads, Buckets, Pillow covers, Wall paint, Light bulbs 60w, Fans, Couches, Chairs, Television set.

  • Medical Supplies
    Band aids/bandages, Gauze, medical tape, first aid/burn cream (neosporin/bacitracin), children's pain reliever/fever reducer, lice/scabies shampoo/medication,
    Sticking bandage, pain killers, Iodine, fever reducers, cotton bandages, ointment or gel for contusions, sterilized lint, treatment for scabies and pediculosis, hydrogen peroxide 10 vol., mineral oil, saline solution, cotton, Lysoform (a disinfectant), flea/tick/scabies shampoo/medication for dogs, Glasses, Disinfectant
     
  • Educational Material/Toys
    Activity idea books, colouring books, educational toys/games/puzzles, board/card games,
    Dry erase markers, white boards, Adhesive labels, Pens, Colored felt tip pens, Glue, Blunt tip scissors, Pencil sharpeners, Erasers, Colored pencils, Educational games, A4 & A3 size paper

  • Hygiene
    Toothbrushes, Toilet paper, lady towels,  Deodorants, Antiseptic talcum powder, Sanitary pads, Bath soap,
    shampoo, perfume, Laundry soap, Toothpaste, Washing Sponge, Hair crème, Softener, Bar soap, Chlorine
     

  • Clothing
    New underwear (ages 5 and up), socks (ages 5 and up), bras (all sizes),
    Pans all sizes, Bath towels and wash cloths, Flip-flops all sizes, Slips for teenagers and kids

  •  Art Supplies
     Drawing and construction paper, children's safety scissors, glue 

  •  Tools
    Electric Drill & bits, Battery Drill, Circular saw, Chain saw, Set of proper screw drivers, chisels, hand planer, Electric Sander, Ear plugs, Gardening tools,
    Scotch Tape, Water hoses, Insulating tape
     
  • ICT Office
    Remote intercom communication equipment, Search Protector (to prevent electricity shocks), UPS’s, PC’s, used computer parts, Network Equipment, used printers, Note books small and big,  Fax machine, Scanner, PC monitors,  Envelopes.

  • Garden tools
     Rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows,  gloves, garden tools, Pots all sizes sets.
 
  • Food
    Cakes, chocolate powder, powdered milk, soy oil, juices, jelly, corn starch, wheat flour, Seasonings (garlic, premixed  seasoning)

  •  Perishable food
       Meat, margarine and legumes, fruit

  • Kitchen Gear
    Fridge, freezer, Cutlery (forks, spoons and knives), Plastic plates for children, Potato ricers, Cutting knives,
    Big spoons, Crockery tea sets, Dish drying racks, Plastic cups, Plates, Pressure cookers, Wooden spoons


  • Toys
    Footballs, volley balls, basket balls, tennis rackets, pingpong balls, Knickers for teenagers and kids

Note: used toy and clothing donations are not needed, as we receive substaintial amounts from the community. New clothing & toys can be brought as birthday presents - please inquire with the current volunteer coordinator at Casa about any other materials for specific activities or projects that you will need, since some items can be much cheaper or much more expensive in Brazil, or can be impossible to find, so it can be determined whether you should bring it from your home country or not.
