On Sunday, 6th of May, Casa do Caminho celebrated its 25 year anniversary and diverse activities organizing a big party in Academia Keka´s, Xerém.

A band leaded by Adriana played oriental music and a group of four youngsters from Xerém gave a pop dance performance. Some girls from Casa do Caminho had also prepared a dance performance which received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Children of the orphanage also participated in a capoeira performance of "Associação Cultura Nossa" which gives weekly capoeira classes to the children in the rural community of Casa do Caminho.

The coordinators of the orphanage Renato, Ademir, Ouvido and Odinei gave a remembrance talk on the initial steps of the Casa do Caminho project, which the guests followed with a great interest and attention. The guests were also given a Power Point presentation on the project in which photos of the children and the activities were continuously projected on a large screen. The party ended with a spectacular performance by the juvenile circus. The children observed the young artists´ juggling, acrobatics and fire spectacle with eyes wide open.

"What I liked best was the birthday cake, the swimming pool and the circus performance" commented Ronaldo, 7 years old. "... and the balloons! " he added with a wide smile.
