What do you pay for A sponsor who invests in the sponsor a child program pays for everything the child needs, ranging from food, clothes, healthcare, education, sports, psychological and social care and much more. Most children arrive with little or any social or formal education and have had traumatic experiences. For this reason, children need special attention including school reinforcement and psychological attention, if we want to ensure a future where the child can live an independent life in society. What do you receive in return In return, the sponsor receives reports every 3 months from our psychologist, social worker and education expert. We also send pictures and artwork created by the child on its own, so that the sponsor receives inside information how the child grows up. Sponsor can visit the children and take them away for the weekend to get to know the child better. What are the costs A person, family, group of friends, company that is interested in supporting a child pays for the expenses of a child for the minimum period of 1 year. In the table below, we show an overview of what it costs us to attend a child for one year at Casa do Caminho. It takes € 1.981,18 per year or € 165,10 per month to sponsor a child.
